Chapter 11

Chapter 11 of the differentiated instruction book was about content differentiation. The focus of this chapter was on students being given choice in the things that they do, and being able to do things that are appropriate to their needs. Students need to learn things that they are able to make connections to, not just memorize facts. Learning needs to be meaningful, and this is more likely to occur when students are able to learn through their own interests. Students also need to be able to learn in a way that is effective to them. All students can be in the process of learning the same thing, but it must be appropriate to their development.
