Importance and Alignment with Accountability Environment

The government mandates what the students are required to learn which is what the teachers are accountable for teaching. The government uses different forms of assessment to judge whether the teachers are meeting these requirements. It is believed that a student’s success will be better if all the school's curriculum are aligned with each other, therefore everyone is exposed to the same things. Holding teachers accountable for what they are required to teach will also make it easier for the standardized tests to be the same.
